Motive: The Essence of Mystery

Without a motive, there would be no story because there would be no crime. What is your process to ensure that the reader recognizes and relates to the criminal’s and the sleuth’s mindset? How do you play on the reader’s need for answers to conjure up a nuanced motive that is at once intriguing but grounded in reason? This panel discussion with three mystery authors will explore how to establish motive. A Q&A will follow. The event also will feature a networking opportunity for local authors after the discussion. Light refreshments will be served. This is a FREE event.
