The world is cautiously opening up again, and MWA-NY is here to offer libraries in our region virtual or in-person mystery-related programs. These events offer library patrons the opportunity to find their “next great read” and to hear more about the mystery genre directly from published authors who practice the craft. Our chapter has provided programs to a host of libraries, including the Mid-Manhattan Library in New York City, the Library of the Chathams in New Jersey, and the Westport Library in Connecticut. We look forward to working with your library, too.
These programs also benefit active MWA members. Authors who participate in library talks gain the opportunity to make new fans, network with librarians, and build word of mouth about their books.
Would you like to bring a mystery event to your library in CT, DE, NJ, NY, PA or WV?
Librarians in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, take note: Our chapter is committed to partnering with libraries. Our authors are available for library talks on a wide range of topics, ranging from the history of mysteries to new trends in the genre and from advice on how to get started writing to “pathways to publication.” MWA can suggest a topic for your program or identify authors who can speak on a topic of your choice. Honorariums are appreciated, but our services are free. Contact us at library@mwany.org
