I have some great news to share. Founder Lee Lofland is offering the New York chapter of MWA two free registrations to the Writers Police Academy, to be held June 8-11 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Details of the Academy are here:
Law enforcement and forensics training event for writers
Travel, hotel and meals are not included in the offer, but this is a terrific opportunity worth $545. (Our own Katherine Ramsland is one of the presenters, as is Bruce Robert Coffin of the New England chapter.)
The MWA-NY board has decided that the fairest way to award the two spots will be a drawing from interested chapter members. If you would like to attend the academy, please send an email to president@mwany.org by 11:59 p.m., Saturday, March 25. The board will collect the names and conduct the drawing.
We’ll announce the two winners by April 1.
Please note that anyone who has already registered is not eligible for this offer. Lee says he has a special offer that will apply to you.
Good luck to all!
Albert Tucher
MWA-NY chapter president
